Colorado Supreme Court upholding the 14th amendment and not allowing the insurrectionist DJTrump into the ballot sets up a very interesting Federal Supreme Court problem.

I am getting the feeling that a lot of this mess will end up in front of the SCOTUS.  That is a terrifying thought.

It's absolutely going to go to SCOTUS.

It will be fascinating to watch a group of constitutional absolutists tie themselves in rhetorical knots trying to not follow the constitution on this.

or... this is the political offramp the Conservatives use to finally get away from Trump.

Either way, it's going to be messy.

Either way, it's going to be messy.

I am cautiously optimistic for the second option, but only because if I was a judge I would see Trump as a massive threat to judicial independence.
