What blows me away is the number of times I've seen large groups of riders lingering around the entrance/exit of an unsanctioned/unmapped/supposedly secret trail in plain view of any and all passers by.  If you've discovered the trail by all means enjoy it, but FFS try to keep it secret.  As others have said there's no etiquette anymore, even from those who ought to know better.

Rob saved my beloved Santa Cruz 5010 back in 2020 after I cracked the seat stay.  It's still running good as new, and it gets ridden hard daily on terrain that is well beyond what a 5010 was designed for.

In the early 80s the roughly 10-year old me coveted the DX freewheel on his BMX bike for the sole reason it was chrome-plated and all of the others were black.  Chrome-everything was a thing back then.  Been in the Shimano camp ever since save for a few dark years.

Seems counter-productive to concentrate people on the lower trails and parking areas.

An 11-51 on standard shimano freehub is precisely what many of us want, and it just makes good sense.  I’m willing to beg.

Darn I missed the survey, but thanks Dave and Alan for continually advocating.  Glad to hear there seems to be agreement on keeping the trails dh/freeride oriented.  No Cypress Espressos!

'87 Diamondback Apex.  I cut the bars down to maybe 450mm lol.  Then a '90 Rocky Mountain Stratos after the DB got stolen.

On cypress at least.  Keep an eye out.
