Well it's the fine line between getting a lot of discounted stuff and nothing :D.

I am still on those good old fashioned RF 3/4 from 2008, or am wearing softshell bibs under these.

I am near giving it up on my search for pants that fit me. 33-38 in jeans.

Although these really look nice they only have 83cm = 34" in L or XL, like all of those. They are 237€ at b-c.

Bah - wait until you get 60. When I was 50 I still was one of the fastest of our group, but from 55 that went downhill. And the hair started growing ever faster in places except on my head. 

There will be a tipping point when your riding buddies won't wait for you, and you start thinking about motors. Those "light-assist" eBikes..

What is magnesium in pills good for? Better not mess with this stuff with cardiovascular issues, I guess.

Tomato cake is NOT pizza - period.

I was looking at the Marin Four Corners but in size XL it has the same weird geometry as my 1993 Serotta had. Super slack seat tube? OK the chainstays are longer, quite long even. But except for bikepacking I don't get the point. Tomato cake?

Maybe an Euro thing, but bike related stuff was 40 - 60% discounted these days. 

An e. g. Orbea Rise for about 3600€ seems like a much better deal. Or the outgoing Raaw Jibb/Madonnas with 50% discount code on bike components. Hayes Dominion brakes the pair for 150€ at used-elitebikes. And so on. 

Rossignol is not discounted over here (at least the eBikes), and for the non-e the spec is not that good even with 40% discount compared to the other offers. 

There must be plenty overstock everywhere.

I thought that working in a bike shop is a safer place now because only bike shops can fix dead electronics on e bikes?

Wasn't Suunto always for the folks at the gym showing off? 

I understand such devices are useful in some cases, but personally I am put off by too many functions and things I don't want to know exactly - like my heartbeat. 

I had a Polar with barometric etc 10yrs ago, first I scratched it badly on a rock, then it made me mad showing weird heart rates when sitting in the shuttle Sprinter. This was not funny, all the other guys in the Sprinter thought I had a heart attack and would die instantly, with a heartbeat jumping between 20 and 210. Until I realized it was the Sprinter's electronics I had a really bad horror. 

Today's devices are sure a whole lot better, but since then I mistrust these gadgets.

There are rumors about a wandering bite point with the DB8, did you notice anything like that?

Decathlon may be great if you never need anything longer than 34 and are happy with 34 or larger waist.

A shop that addresses overweight people on eBikes may have its merits, but every time I go there everything is sooo awful, and it smells like bad rubber etc etc ;)... I bought a tent and walking equipment many years ago, these were quite ok.
