lifted that much without a winch always seems weird to me, be it jeep or truck.  but i like the 6 ft box and the absence of the trd stickers.  when my wife picked up a used 2016 sr5, i was wondering why it had trd (sport) stickers, but then realized every single tacoma has trd stickers.  kinda loses it's purpose, or something like that.

with the laces, i might go back to the pearl izumis...i loved them.  the boa system was great, but for me, within a couple years the wires ate through the thin loops holding them in, making the shoes useless.

for us (twins with birthdays in october), the 16" bikes lasted one season (a true season, in the kootenays; commencal ramones).  12" @ 3-4 years old, 16" @ 4 years, to now 20" @ 5 years plus at least one or two more years i should hope.  when are they going to let daddy upgrade his 2012 cove g-spot

we can find pretty good 26" deals around, and I have enough lying around to make them work

snagged a "new" 2014? era small g-spot frame from Cove for my kid, and put a dog's breakfast of his previous bike (really old Kona stuff 2-4 with good parts) and my old g-spot into this.  mullet 26/24, good chance to keep all my old 26" parts still going strong.  30.4 lbs as pictured.  will look awesome when i put the rasta decals on to match the green grips.

Went from a 2012 Cove G-spot (26") to a 2021 Marin Alpine Trail (29") due to wheel size, modern geometry, fear of cracking a 10 year old frame. After a year of use on the Marin, and for kicks getting back on the Cove for a couple rides, holy moly I can't stand it. Can't believe how far back on the bike I am for climbing, and how I did it for 10 years

I probably could never tire of the stuff i grew up on, Chuck D, Ice Cube, KRS-One, and I love MCA's voice.  Ice-T and Body Count were great too, better than just Ice-T I would say.

These days I love Denzel Curry, he has some good stuff, some a throwback to the old stuff

i got it in Nakusp, they are good people there. there aren't a lot of Marin dealers around me (Nelson area). there was a (large) XR in Cochrane, AB, and the owner said the rest went really fast. seems to be a popular bike with the geometry changes this year. i have always tried to get a bike with some sort of canadian roots, but as a teenager in the early 90s i remember i used to lust over those marin hardtails back in the day. good enough for me.

i just picked up a 2021 marin alpine trail 7, bone-stock. affordable but will replace parts as needed, most likely a set of wheels to start with.  the shop didn't have the alpine trail xr in stock and no ETA but i'm happy with this one
