Just back from the trip and I gotta say sun peaks was pretty awesome! Fast tech and not too many wtfbbqcliff moments made the trip pretty enjoyable. Even gave the first rocky rock roll/drop on insanity one a shot and survived it with a blown tire :trinity:.

question for those with bear bangers: any chance they'll blow up in my backpack if I crash?

Picked up a giant reign x this year and i love it. Pedaled it up to sfu with about a 10% increase in difficulty compared to my old 06 norco fluid. The downhill performance made up for that extra effort though.

I imagine a giant reign will pretty much feel the exact same way too, except a bit easier on the uphill.

I was selling an 06 fluid a little while ago, it was a very good all around bike. I got my cardio up by doing laps up and down sfu, took it to whistler and silverstar (bumpy as hell but controlled pretty well). The standover on the frame was quite high though and I lost a couple of sales because of that.

I just bought a cheap bike rack but it didn't come with an adapter to allow the 1 1/4" tubing to fit in my 2" hitch. Anyone know where I can get one locally?

Tried Canadian tire, walmart, and lordco so far. Closest one I could find was a reducer/extender from lordco which was 40$…

I use a 661 core saver, kyle straights, and am currently switching arm protection again. Used a set of TLD elbow and arm guards that were basically hardshells stuck onto a lycra sleeve. Super comfortable but after a crash at silver star the pads slid down and scraped a few layers of skin off.

I'm trying to stop painting with oils as much as possible because photoshop is a lot easier and cleaner, but people keep asking me oil portraits.

Is it fair to say kicking horse is pretty heavy on wood work? I was hoping to have some trails with a lot of natural obstacles and great scenery.

So our small group of friends have gone to whistler and silverstar in the past. Skill wise we're all fairly average, Blue is the difficulty of choice for jump trails, a-line for example is quite a bit above our comfort.However we're fairly comfortable with black trails when it comes to technical riding.

Anyone have experience with kicking horse bike park? or perhaps make another suggestion that we can travel too that's reasonably inexpensive.
