The show is a pretty accurate indicator of whats happening in Venice.
Start ups (Snap) have moved into the area and are changing what it used to be.
Keep Venice Weird is trying to, well, to keep Venice weird, but since the world is in a mega gentrifying, character less phase, I don't have high hopes.
Love the show, love Venice even more. Used to be down there 3-4 times a year.
In on this one too.
I know one annoying fact of cheaper units is the fact they come preloaded with the most bloated Windows versions known to man.
Any way of avoiding this?
It's precious "the press" is all in tears now. They were well onto their way of bullshit irrelevance when Chomsky called them out thirty years ago.
Call me when 95% of "the press" isn't owned by a few entities. Until then, they are a major reason why Trump and friends are running the show.
Correct.
Opinions and conspiracy theories aside;
10 Corporation sell 75% of goods we buy.
6 Corporations sell 90% of media we buy.
Thats approximately 300 board members and a handful of CEO.
The whole "elites control everything" isn't a conspiracy, its a fact of business.
I'm going to repeat this till blue in the face;
None of this has anything to do with race, colour, sexuality, nationality, party affiliations, those are distractions to turn billions of people against each other while literally a room full of people accumulates wealth that surpasses the 7 billion below them.
So is this assclown done? I just can't see him making it to 100 days at the rate he is going. Fox News is even turning on him, which can only be seen as the Republican establishment starting to distance themselves from him before they pull the rug out. They just need to shelter Pence. Win win for them really. Donald the clown gets them in the White House and then Pence goes with the worst of their agenda. If the Republicans don't pull out the knives a Democratic congress (very likely considering how unpopular Trump is) will go after him with everything they have. It just makes sense to pull off the band aid now.
Nothing has gone the way I thought it would over the last year, so who really knows, but for the love of white Jebus it is looking worse every day for this administration.
There are a lot of terrifying scenarios that can play out, and this is definitely one of them.
Trump has tens of millions supporting him and his agenda, if the elites on both sides of aisle push him out it will create an unreal amount of anger in those that really believe he is the anti-globalist dream.
Alex Jones, and InfoWars is a great perspective on how Trump base operates - and his reach is massive. You certainly don't have to agree with what InfoWars pushes, but it does provide a perspective on how millions of people are going to react if Trump would ever get pushed out.
Work harder, or work two jobs, take care of your own responsibilities in lieu of throwing stones and blaming 'poor job market'. Starbucks is not below anyone, it is opportunity. The educated should not simply rely on others to the tune of $180 million per year.
I think we should reduce this to bare bones;
Do you believe that as a species we should strive for a consistently increasing quality of life over the course of each generation?
And why?
Educated people are failing us tremendously. No critical thinking, no learning to person by taking responsibility.

Its so much more complicated than that.
School is business -[HTML_REMOVED] business' sell -[HTML_REMOVED] schools sell courses -[HTML_REMOVED] rapid tech changes require additional schooling -[HTML_REMOVED] schools focus on profits over pertinent education -[HTML_REMOVED] higher school costs -[HTML_REMOVED] student loans -[HTML_REMOVED] limited job market opportunities -[HTML_REMOVED] stagnant wage growth -[HTML_REMOVED] defaults on loans.
How do you change one part of that cycle without blowing up the whole system or driving it down to ideologies of lib/con, black/white?
When did pillars of our civilization become profit driven? And why have we been so complicit in this?
There is a trove of amazing technical information shared on forums if you spend the time looking, reading and digging.
I am thankful of those that share their build projects and technical information online. But you only get out what you put in, so remember to give back and make some quality posts of your own.
You're never going to change someone's political/social view arguing on the internet so why bother wasting the time. You're likely receive a useless meme to your well researched.
Why is this true?
We need a giant reset in the West. Education is failing us tremendously.
People need to learn how to be person/human. Critical thinking, etc.
I actually think decline of forums is symptomatic of a larger trend in society. Its the "echo chamber" effect that has been described as people that segregate themselves into like minded groups and only choose to hear like minded opinions.
The failure is that most people are fully entrenched in their views, not interested in being engaged and challenged.
Its like proudly saying "I only vote party X, have all my life. " that pretty much sums a person not worth having a discussion with.
With that you get a decline in discussion, decline in traffic, and community gone.
Its systematically happened to most boards I been visiting over the last 15 years, regardless of what the topic of discussion is. The community always hangs up on a polarizing issue, splinters into groups, and eventually devolves into chaos.
This is why Twitter and FB chat are successful, its like guerrilla warfare, you can have 100 different arguments a day without ever needing to preserve a common platform.
And how quickly people shelf their core values for money. Not who's President?
Stuff like this is so disappointing from both sides, that it actually makes me kind of wish Putin would take over and send all of us to Gulags for being intolerably stupid.
