Treat them like gauge blocks and store them lightly oiled at all times. Problem solved.

Sounds like you have the incorrect tune for that shock. Did it come on the bike as specced by the manufacturer?
Kind of like a really really hot girlfriend
I drove a Tundra for years but since moving to Kamloops I actually grew to despise it. In the winter when we went to Costco, you have to put all the groceries on your lap and the floor or else it freezes in the box. Can't go anywhere with the dog because he has to ride in the cab with the 2 kids and just climbs over everything.
So then I was thinking canopy but that still didn't solve the winter grocery run issues when it's -35. Now I'm driving a 4runner which solved both issues but now cab space is a little small, my plan is to keep driving this until I can trade it in on a Hybrid Sequoia when they become available.
Ahh damn really?? Burn and Windy Canyon, I was going to make the drive from Kamloops to ride it before the snow comes, that really sucks
Correct.
WAO sells chainguides with integrated iscg tabs for a bash guard for the Arrival.
I dont know about that. I was CONSTANTLY snapping chains on my 142 11spd XT drivetrain. The chainlines were too savage in the taller gears, never been a problem since boost.
Berd cuts weight because of the spokes for the most part. 32 x 282mm Sapim spokes (29er) weighs 196g on my scale which equates to just under 400g per wheelset. Berd uses the 'cloth' spokes which weigh much less. What ever happened to Ti spokes?!
Came here to say the same thing! It's the Moops!

This is why WeAreOne uses a sleeve on the bar ;)
My wife was a server at places like Sammy J Peppers, Browns etc. The servers have to tip out every shift based on the total sales they generated, I want to say %7. This %7 went to the bar staff, hostess, chefs etc. So if a tables bill was $100 and they didn't tip, it would have cost her $7 to serve them. IMO this is a broken system but its where the tips are going in restaurants. I say pay the kitchen and bar staff more (skilled labour), servers can keep their tips and hostesses make minimum wage until they can move up to server status.

Blackspire were one of these brands that always made decent enough stuff and local, yet due to a seemingly lack of marketing were off most people's radar and weren't deemed 'cool'.
I think it goes beyond just a lack of marketing or the cool factor--its just hard to make money in the industry. I'll group Blackspire together with eNVy, Straitline, and let's say Kooka. Local, decent/boutique level gear, and none of these exist today making MTB components. I think it goes to show how hard it is to penetrate into the MTB market and become a sustainable player. These guys all made quality parts that helped solve a problem in the sport at the time, but as the industry grew and innovated these companies ran out of steam to continue on in an economically feasible manner.
You can probably put Syncros in a similar boat as well. They are an established brand again now, but only after several ownership changes and share nothing from the og Syncros aside from the name.
I give tons of credit to a company like OneUp for being able to continue to evolve, problem solve, and create/recreate a niche for themselves in a crowded marketplace. A company who's singular focus was expander cogs, when the SRAMano engineered and surpassed what OneUp were able to offer I would have thought that was nail in the coffin time.
I went to B.C.I.T. with the son of the owner of Straitline, he had the most tricked out DJ bike to commute in with lol. At the end of the day you've got a machine shop with the best of the best mills/lathes. Are you going to use up spindle time making stems or aerospace parts? It was a passion project that never went anywhere for good reason.
It looks like there's a hex on the inside of that nut? If I had to guess the outer hex is a backup in case you strip the inner?

Cool video I took following my 11 y/o last week. We moved to Kamloops almost 3 years ago, as soon as we got here we bought the kids skis and proper riding gear. Previously living in Langley, I would take him riding to various spots like Fromme, Thornhill or the South Surrey bike park. The problem was we had to sit in traffic to get to any of these spots, fight for parking etc so it was hard to get into a routine with biking and skiing was out of the question. He loved bikes but we went too infrequently for it to really stick, had to try and remember how to ride every time we went out. Anyway now we live literally up the road from the Bike Ranch so all he does is rip laps thanks to the shuttle service there. Enjoy.
Bike is a 2013 Giant Trance which he blew the fork up on after 2 rides so now he's over overforked with my old 160 Zeb lol.
The Bike Ranch is such a cool spot, a buddy lives nearby with his three kids and appreciates it for sure.
I really like that there are these official spots for your kids, it sure makes it easier to get into it than the conditions I had.
This generation is gunna rip!
(Already does I guess, I’ve watched Seaminuk and Goldstone go from the first generation of little ripper groms who live on the trail to just completely dismantling the grown men they compete against)
It's mind blowing to see the massive city funded jumps being hit by little kids doing backflips lol. The progression is on another level here in the dj space at least.

Just a heads up that We Are One is blowing out their remaining SP3 build Arrivals for $7599. Mx or 29, GX Axs etc etc
I went to South Beach a few years back and would not recommend. Just a smarmy vibe to the whole place imo.

Thank you - it’s beautifully executed. I had originally ordered one before the intl orders were paused, and the Firebird I got instead didn’t last long before failing.
It’s so good to be one something so well built.
That's awesome really glad to hear it!

Yeah, I’m pretty happy so far. It’s surprisingly quiet and very quick.
Not sure the WAO bar shape agrees with me though - I’ll give it a bit longer.
That's good. I'm biased though considering I machined all of the parts on your bike lol. Loving the raw finish.
