What do you think about the Seca 2000 for use on a helmet? Too heavy? Beam pattern?

Serfas makes a field swappable mtb light that I like. True1300. 18650s are cool!

I run 29s & b+ on my Rootdown. I tried the mullet with those wheels and it didn't do much for me on that bike.

I think the KM as you've got it would make a nice change for mine. Debating whether it's worth the money for the wheel though.. Old bike, no real need other than to scratch a curious itch.

If I did, I'd do 29x2.6 High Grip/Tough WTB Vigilante front, 2.8 b+ Recon or something like that rear. I'm assuming that would be a smaller diameter than just running the 29x2.35 Schwalbes..

I have plus wheels on my other bike that are i40, but they're boost and doing a 135x10 wheel would be the requirement to make it work on the KM. Sounds like i35x2.8 is the ticket. Cheers

Currently running Velocity Blunts which I guess I could do a 29x2.8 okay on. Just contemplating the cost of lacing up a B+ rear. What are you running?

How'd you like the KM with B+/29+? I've long wondered about doing the same with mine.. Even just doing 29/29+ on it..

We've been playing the brightness arms race as the cheap Chinese lights die randomly in the woods. That being said, everyone is moving to brighter lights, and everyone seems more happy.

For slower solo rides, less brightness is fine. Riding with a crew going fast I like being able to see more.

I'm all for full atomic brightness when riding at night around cars. Especially during the dusk/rushhours. I take back streets mostly and if cars can readily see you from 3-4 blocks away and take note somewhere in the middle of posting a video, scrolling their social media and buying something from amazon all while operating a multi-ton tank, the earlier the better!

I’ve got a new Z1 Bomber Coil and 2020 Lyrik RC2. The bomber is super plush and smooth. The Lyrik rides great and is more adjustable, so I can dial in full travel with full support. Both ride great and could swap either way. I think the coil would kinda work better on the hardtail.

Winter mode for the double-hardtail/gravel bike. Exploring ideas to put 2.2 gravel tires vs 2.8 front on here...

I've run 42:17 / 40:19 on my CX bike with a White Industries freewheel. The easier gear was almost a bailout gear for when I bonked. The hills where I ride are too steep compared to the flats to get to them to have a manageable ratio difference with a WI duo freewheel. I found I almost never changed gears and was content to just sit and spin. Our mtb trails mostly require drive-to-trailhead so 1 ratio works fine.

I’m considering converting my old school Karate Monkey to gravel duties. Currently have 29er Velocity Blunt rims. Any suggestions for a decent gravel tire for my big rims?

I ran a 27.5x2.8 mullet Rootdown and while I liked the easier acceleration, I felt it made the front end a little twitchy. Not unlike running the fork at 170 with full 29er.

I tried a Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.6 Super Trail Addix Speed Grip on the rear with and insert and it railed wet roots and rocks great. I was running a WTB 2.6 Vigi Tough High Grip on the front and found that to be a nice fast grippy winter setup for the hardtail.
