Bike parks that offer a fall season pass in Septemberhttps://nsmb.com/forum/forum/bike-parks-silver-star-sun-peaks-mt-washington-and-beyond-25/topic/bc-bike-parks-that-offer-a-fall-season-pass-in-september-132964/
The problem with the smaller, less populated parks here, is that they tend to close shortly after the kids go back to school. Whistler has the draw, capital, and location (coastal), to stay open much later. The only non-whistler place I can think of that could be open is Coast Gravity Park on the Sunshine Coast. It's much smaller, very chill vibe, and has vehicle uplift as opposed to chairlifts.

Posted by MrBaker87 - Aug. 7, 2023, 12:59 p.m. Mon, 07 Aug 2023 19:59:09 +0000https://nsmb.com/forum/forum/bike-parks-silver-star-sun-peaks-mt-washington-and-beyond-25/topic/bc-bike-parks-that-offer-a-fall-season-pass-in-september-132964/Bike Parks - Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Mt. I'm starting to know and enjoy the mountain. Still pretty rough conditions overall, the key seems to be to dial things back and ride the trails at 70% or so, let the bike do its work and go after flow rather than speed. That way my body can handle enough laps to make it worth the drive up.

So far it's been super quiet every time I've gone, I like it but I wonder if they actually make any money.

Posted by jpi - May 11, 2010, 4:35 p.m. Tue, 11 May 2010 23:35:32 +0000https://nsmb.com/forum/forum/bike-parks-silver-star-sun-peaks-mt-washington-and-beyond-25/topic/official-mt-washington-thread-26164/Bike Parks - Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Mt. The vibe is always great, last time I was there I got to watch (and shuttle with) some Red Bull pros riding on one of the days too. It is what it is - if I didn't want to ride DH stuff there's a lot of incredible trails nearby.
Up against WBP and Sun Peaks it pales but I do enjoy the sum of the parts.
I also agree - Huggies all the way down to Porpoise is a great way to wrap it all up.

Posted by Bryan - Sept. 5, 2013, 2:07 p.m. Thu, 05 Sep 2013 21:07:28 +0000https://nsmb.com/forum/forum/bike-parks-silver-star-sun-peaks-mt-washington-and-beyond-25/topic/official-coast-gravity-park-thread-6170/Bike Parks - Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Mt. I haven’t done it but see lots of people do it. Unfortunately the trails down cross private land (and they are opposed to bikes) and haven’t been maintained for a while.

Rather than leaving from the village leave from the top of the chairlift and find your way into the Sovereign network to ride Upper Dagamal, dagamal, Rock is the new berm. Kills 2km on the road and puts you on some good tech trails. If you have time hit up Hammered Cow, though after a dray at the park that can be a bit much

Be aware of cars coming down. I used to live at the base and it always made for a great couple laps.

I would recommend a few rides on the mountain if your in town anyway, finish off with a spin out Paul's Tomb and a quick dip in the lake. A shuttle would take longer to get down than riding down but a great way to get a bunch of laps in quickly.

Smith Creek is a must hit for everyone in my opinion, it is worth the trip across the bridge. Crawford is great but I don't like it in the summer as it is wide open in the sun for lots of the climb up, better in spring and fall.

Posted by The_AK - July 15, 2016, 7:13 p.m. Sat, 16 Jul 2016 02:13:18 +0000https://nsmb.com/forum/forum/bike-parks-silver-star-sun-peaks-mt-washington-and-beyond-25/topic/knox-mountain-bike-park-582/Bike Parks - Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Mt. Total hero dirt after the thunder shower the day prior. Pipe dream is definitely running better. As noted, many of the lips and jumps just feel better.

On riding in the area… Can't go wrong with Kal Park, always nice to finish with a swim. There are trails at sovereign just before silver star, which is nice to escape the heat. I haven't ridden Noble yet but hear good things. Ellison is certainly tamer but I still enjoy it and there is a connector trail to Predator Ridge to grab a pint mid ride.

If your heading down to Kelowna I cannot recommend Smith Creek enough, it's a must hit in my books.

Posted by sheffy - March 21, 2015, 5:33 p.m. Sun, 22 Mar 2015 00:33:28 +0000https://nsmb.com/forum/forum/bike-parks-silver-star-sun-peaks-mt-washington-and-beyond-25/topic/silverstar-2015-thread-2627/Bike Parks - Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Mt. With professionally developed trails by Yannick and the Bike Solutions gang, huge vertical, quiet lifts and generally stunning scenery, Tinges is a location with a steadily increasing reputation. They are also embracing the rapidly growing Endure scene with a few dedicated trails to add to their DH portfolio. With relatively quiet lift queues and miles of awesome trails, Tignes has to potential to go even further.
http://franksms.com/

Pretty sure Silver star now has a storage option at their on site shop, give them a call to verify. I've been off the big bike for 7 weeks after nasty sprained wrist and am thinking that first ride back out probably shouldn't be banging out laps at a bike park.
